Bird Observer is a New England-based bimonthly
journal for birders. We are a private nonprofit corporation
supported by subscribers, and staffed by volunteers. We publish
original articles on birding locations, on avian populations and
natural history, on regional rarities, and field notes, bird
sightings for Massachusetts, photographs, and artwork. For
information on previous issues, check our index. |

Download February
issue Bird Observer is considering offering a
web-based electronic version of the journal in addition to the
current printed version. The subscription rate would likely be
lower than for the printed copy. As a trial we have posted
the February issue
here
. Take
a look and send us your thoughts. If you are a subscriber, would you
like to have access to an electronic version in addition to or
instead of your printed version? If you are not a subscriber, would
you consider subscribing to an electronic version? Please respond to birdobserver@tiac.net |

Bird Observer
maps One of our most popular features is
"Where to Find Birds," articles written by local birders and
accompanied by detailed maps. You can download and print these maps from
recent issues so you no longer need to flip from text and map
in the
issue. | |
