112th Ipswich River Bird Survey

May 19, 2018

Thank you ALL for joining in on the ECOC 112th Annual Ipswich River Trip

Thanks to Diana and Robert and Tim/Kathi for the ebird lists and additional sightings

Thanks to Constance and Robert for the donuts

Thanks to ALL for your great ears and eyes on the birds!

Shame about the tricky forecast, however the plan still worked and the cold rain did finally appear after we had ALL enjoyed the best part of the day on the land version. Thanks for your support.

A robust 71 species noted With 537 individuals
(after the last 2 species additions from Kathi and Tim Brown reporting Killdeer and Solitary/spotted sandpipers at the fair grounds…. Thanks and a fitting wrap to your 50th anniversary trip. Tim)

I did not have time to compare year on year and abundance…. But I shall

I will work on photos too….. that could take some time since the “warbler inundation” is still upon us (term stolen from Barbara Volkle used on Massbird today… lol)

PLEASE, share photos if any of you have a few shots along the way!! So Get outside and see some warblers! Another day, another Blackburnian…..
See you down the trail and Thanks again
Dave
